I wear my sunglasses 365 days a year but If it were up to me I would wear them 24/7!  I have a ton of pairs but I always like to add a few new styles during the summer.  Right now I’m loving sunglasses with lots of details and hardware.  Below are some styles that I’ve been eyeing by Elizabeth and James.
Limited Edition Elizabeth & James Snow Leopard Sunglasses - These fun snow leopard print sunglasses have the perfect vintage chic look.
Elizabeth & James Wooster Sunglasses – A great selection of sunglasses for stylish vintage lovers.  I love the details like the metal in the bars against the shiny pearl pink.

Outfits Under $50

I’m always on the lookout for a good bargain.  Most of my scores are found at my favorite spots like Marshall’s, T.J. Maxx and Ross but I will shop anywhere at anytime as long as it has the right fit.  Lately I’ve been noticing that a lot of my outfits have been ranging from about $50-$100 so I decided to share my top 5 under $50 and next month $100. To start things off I decided to go with my latest buy a chambray top from Walmart.  I already have a bunch of chambray tops (one with polka dots, one with florals and a thick dark denim one that I sometimes use as a little jacket) so I wasn’t looking to buy more.  However, I walked by the  clearance rack at Walmart and spotted this light weight studded chambray top for $9 and I had to have it.  At $9 it’s got all the right details, a studded collar that I love, tab sleeves and the fabric is light enough to wear all year. Thinking it would be great to wear as a beach cover up… I have lots of plans for it but this time I wanted to pair it up with a mini and my brown sandals.  Not bad for an entire outfit under $50. :)

What I’m Wearing:

Chambray Top – $9 at Walmart

Mini Skirt – $7.99 at Ross
Sandals (also seen here) – $24.99 from a local boutique
Necklace – $5 from a Brooklyn boutique wish I could remember the name of the store
Clutch c/o meet mark
Bracelet c/o Twisted SIlver

Dream Believe Achieve

When summer rolls around down here in Florida it comes with inhuman heat and humidity, which only wreaks havoc on my hair (even after an hour in front of a hairdryer I still end up with frizzy hair)!  So lately I’ve been air drying to camouflage the frizz and although I am not 100 percent sold on it, it’s easy to do. I use the hanna thermal protectant oil and Sally Hershberger Shagg Spray that I found for only $2.99 at Ross to get a piece-y look and it works great.  Along with the big hair that I to call “beachy waves” I like to keep my outfits easy and comfy as well.  I tend to keep my focus on tops because bottoms always consist of cut off shorts, a cotton mini or rolled up jeans.  Every year I get on a new kick: last year I was all about asymmetrical tanks and this year it’s graphic tees.   I got this one from Shopbop and although a little bit more than I usually pay for tee, it’s totally worth it!  It’s got a roomy fit which is perfect for summer; the length makes it look like a perfectly worn-in mens tee and my favorite part is the length of the sleeves – its just long enought to be able to give it a nice roll if I’m in the mood too.

What I’m Wearing:

Sincerely Jules Graphic Tee c/o Shopbop

White Skinny Jeans $14.99 at Marshall’s

Pointy Toe Pumps (also seen here) – $25.50 from Charlotte Russe

Necklace & Bracelet c/o Twisted Silver

Bag c/o meet mark

Chambray Top – $9 at Walmart

Rebecca Minkoff Ragini Slide Sandals

When it comes to summer heels I like them to have a casual feel but still give me the sexy height.  For the most part wedges do the trick, but sometimes I want a little more oomph and while looking around for a pair to wear all summer I found these Ragini Slide Sandals by Rebecca Minkoff and I instantly fell in love!  What I like about this pair is that they manage to have every single detail that I was looking for: the wooden stacked heel is comfy and has the casual look I wanted, the ankle strap is dainty and the gold trim glams it up.  I’m definitely going to be wearing these babies a whole lot!

What I’m Wearing:

Dress – $24.99 at Forever 21

Denim Jacket (also seen here) – $39.99 at American Eagle

Belts (also seen here) – $10.99 at Charlotte Russe

I know I will get a lot of eye rolls for this one but seeing how effortlessly Diane Kruger wore overalls made me wish I kept a few of mine from back in the day.  I’ve always loved overalls for the summer.  They have that tomboy feel and they can easily be made chic or sexy with a tank, a cropped top (like Diane) or a femnine lace top . Check out some overalls below and tell me what do you think of the trend?

Denim Boyfriend Dungarees – $69 at Riverisland

Dark Denim Overalls – $49.90 at Windsorstore.com

Everyday Denim Overalls - $72 at Pixiemarket.com

Laser Printed Overalls – $78 at Urbanoutfitters.com

For the past  week or so the temp here in Florida has been in the 90′s, but luckily we got a short break from the heat and humidity and it’s an easy breezy 80 outside.  What does sthat mean for me?  For one, it’s the chance to wear something other than shorts and a tank!  I originally bought this floral high-low top to wear  over a white mini dress, but I pulled out my “skinny” skinny jeans and they actually fit…I was so excited that I threw them on instead.

What I’m Wearing:

High-Low Floral Top – $14.99 at Ross

Skinny Jeans – $29.99 at American Eagle

Wedges (also seen here) – $24.99 Local Boutique

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hope all of you stylish mamas out there are having a fabulous Mothers Day! The lovely people over at Famous Footwear’s new blog asked me to share my mothers favorite quote and how she inspired me throughout my life. Check out a snippet of it below and click here to see entire post.

This Mother’s Day, I’d like reflect on the inspiration and encouragement my mom has given me throughout my life. Much of my drive comes from her, and she’s a woman that gets things done! She tackles things head on without thinking twice. Her energy has always amazed me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I soldier on with a mental image of my mom doing a million things at once with a smile on her face.
