Shoes hot. Shorts cute. But when put together with a safari-like jacket it just doesn’t work for the everyday gal. Beyonce looks great, of course, but the outfit just seems too Hollywood. The shoes are a bit overpowering for the outfit and the shorts simply look out of place. So I went ahead and swapped Beyonce’s denim shorts for a denim pencil skirt and added shoes that were more understated. What do you think of Beyonce’s outfit?

Nicole Richie is boho fabulous as usual! I couldn’t find a top that looked quite like Nicole’s but I did find an equally adorable batik top. Tip if you are worried cut-off shorts: buy a size or two up. It’ll hang nicely off your hips and give you a little more length. I love it when Victoria Beckham dresses down. To me, she looks just as chic even without the expensive designer outfits. These baggy boyfriend jeans are the perfect example (I wonder if they’re David’s?). I decided to break down her outfit in two ways: one with the strapless top and the other without for those of you who deplore going strapless (you’ll notice that for this option I swapped out the strapless top with a spaghetti strap tank and cropped jacket, but kept the rest of her ruggedly chic look intact. Each outfit is under $100. Hope you like it!
