When it comes to fashion inspiration, I’ve always been enamored with celebrities that “wear their hearts on their sleeves” and embody a style that both accentuates and complements their mood and personality (like Rachel Zoe, Rachel Bilson and Drew Barrymore). But when it comes to my personal day to day style, my hat goes off to actress, entrepreneur and mother of two Jessica Alba. As a working mom, I truly admire the ease and simplicity of her wardrobe choices like tees, skinny jeans, blazers and scarfs. Alba always looks stylish, comfortable and sexy (without over doing it) and effortlessly mixes colors and patterns without sacrificing her free spirit.
For my spin on Alba’s style, I bought a chambray dress at Forever 21 and paired it with a crochet cardigan from Marshall’s, and a studded belt from T.j. Maxx (I always manage to sneek something studded into my outfits) and brown strappy heels from meet mark.
Like Alba, comfort and ease have to be incorporated into a lot of my outfits…which is why I love affordable stores like TJ Maxx and Forever 21 (yes even moms can shop there!).
