Isaac Mizrahi helped re- vamp Liz Claiborne and we love him for the Isaac Mizrahi for Target Collection, which was just fabulous! {Photo Credits: Marco Madeira / Style.com}
Isaac’s spring 2010 collection at the New York Fashion Week was exciting- lots of ruffles and petals, short little numbers and those hats! As only Isaac would do it! The little square clutches, and box purses definitely made the show reminiscent of the early –mid 1900’s (think 40’s -60’s), the occasional umbrella gave me the feeling that we were heading for a picnic in the rain! Bold lips and the Blazers were a common theme and are bound to be the in trend this fashion year. Catch the show here.
Key notes of the fashion show: Menswear inspired shoes, Bold Lips, Lavender, the occasional fringe, and just a little sparkle.

I love Sienna Miller’s style but in this particular outfit she kinda looks like she’s wearing a night gown (which is okay for a free spirited celebrity like Sienna but for everyday gals not so much). So, I decided to swap her dress (a little too much flower power going on there) with a simpler one with some floral trimming. The boots although cute look heavy and cumbersome for the outfit so I replaced them with a pair of platform slides to keep the look more feminine. Hope you like it!

Celebrity Redo for Under $100: Reese Witherspoon

I like Reese Witherspoon’s laid back look but I think it’s way too busy. Take, for example, the blue dress against the gray cardigan – it’s just confusing and looks like she threw on any old sweater she could find. And then there’s the fringed sandals that I think make her legs look shorter than they actually are. For the Celebrity Redo, I swapped out her blue dress and added a chic white dress with pockets which really pops against the gray cardigan (LOVE me a dress with pockets!). I kept the fedora but switched out the fringed sandals for jeweled one’s. Best of all this entire redo is under $100!

Beyonce is the perfect example of what happens when you wear too many trendy items all at once – it’s way too hectic and even great pieces look bad. To tone down the outfit, I swapped the caged heels for a simpler pair of caged-styled platform’s. To give the outfit a softer look, I traded in the fitted tank for the slub twist knot tank. Maybe even add some diamonds to the outfit, if you’re looking for just a little more flash. Tasteful and subtle jewelry can be a great touch when applied properly. Hope you like it!

I love it when Victoria Beckham dresses down. To me, she looks just as chic even without the expensive designer outfits. These baggy boyfriend jeans are the perfect example (I wonder if they’re David’s?). I decided to break down her outfit in two ways: one with the strapless top and the other without for those of you who deplore going strapless (you’ll notice that for this option I swapped out the strapless top with a spaghetti strap tank and cropped jacket, but kept the rest of her ruggedly chic look intact.
