The Formula: Stripes

The old saying, “if it ain’t broke. don’t fix it,” perfectly describes how I feel about must-have basic pieces in fashion. Trends come and go but basics never go out of style, particularly certain patterns and colors. To that end I decided to start a series of posts called The Formula to highlight my favorite style “ingredients.” The most obvious one to start with is stripes and if you follow my posts then it’s obvious by now that I love stripes. I literally wear the pattern in some shape or form about 3 times a week. Tip: The thinner the stripe the better – keep that in mind when choosing anything with stripes.
